Liverpool have suffered a massive blow with the news Fernando Torres has suffered a recurrence of the hamstring injury he has only recently returned to fitness from.

The Spanish record signing is set to miss the league matches with West Ham and Blackburn but may return for the visit of Hull to Anfield on December 13th.Torres missed seven games after initially suffering the hamstring injury while on international duty with Spain last month and only returned to League action in the 0-0 draw with Fulham on Saturday.The player also suffered his third hamstring injury of the season against Marseille in the Champions League last week, and it was initially expected that he would be fit to return within two to three weeks.

Fernando Torres was voted third in this year’s Ballon D’Or behind Lionel Messi and winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
